One and a half years ago I moved up to the Bay Area. For months I was alone with no friends, freezing my tush off (gotta remember I’m a sensitive, warm-weather SoCal girl 😜) and questioning if I wanted to stay (even though I knew I would). Fast forward to now: I have a meaningful chunk of lifelong friends, lots more puffy jackets (thanks to work), and even a bike (the assimilation is nearly complete 😉). It’s never been easy, but I’m starting to find peace in new situations – because I’m trusting things.
